Volunteer Counsellors
Our counsellors are all trained to national standards. Some are IACP or IACC accredited and some are working towards these qualifications. They come from different schools of training and all of them are required to do at least 50 hours of training in Christian counselling on top of their core training course. Most core courses in Ireland are between 300 – 450 hours of training.
Code of Ethics & Practice
All our counsellors work under IACP or IACC Supervision and under their Code of Ethics and Practice.
Most of the 35 counsellors work on a voluntary basis and the quality of their work is respectful, caring and of the highest standard. We have a number of counsellors who specialise is different areas – working with couples, working with children, suicide prevention etc.
